Back to Europe

Apr 1, 2016 | News

Originally, I had planned to be in Japan/Korea during March, but after the trip was cancelled, I ended up planning a second trip back to Europe to visit the SFC groups and partners that I missed on my February trip. I flew into Zurich, drove a few hours straight to a resort for a night session with some of our SFC Swiss leaders and their friends who run Radix – a brand of boardshops owned by two Christian guys. We rode together another day, built great relationships with people who are invested in the heart of the European shred culture and had some time brainstorming for the future (and celebrating a birthday) with SFC Swiss Director Sarah Nicolaisen.

I then drove to Eastern France for five days of camp with a team of about twenty SFC UK riders (maybe half Believers, half yet-to-be-Believers). We spent time riding, praying, eating & vision casting for the future of SFCUK and the outreaches in the UK snowdomes and northern mountains. I drove a few more hours to visit Tanja & Andreas Perch who have been investing into the Kingdom of God in Val d’Isere France for several years. These two are plenty familiar with the transient nature of the ski culture, and to finally see their hard work with Rize Coffee Bar and Switch Church was sooo encouraging! God has given us such an amazing network of Kingdom-minded humans in shred towns all over the world. How encouraging!
